The difference between forging, stamping and casting

1. The difference between forging and casting

(1) Casting: to turn a shapeless metal solution into a shape solid.Forging: a solid that forms a solid into another shape.Casting is like you play with wax, you buy wax (scrap, or pig iron) and turn this wax into a liquid, and put in a mold, so that you get something different.(solid-liquid solid) forging, like the process of making a pancake, you knead the small dough, put it in the mold, and make a different shape of the product.It's almost solid in the heat, and the shape can become something else (solid to solid).Casting is the process of casting molten metal into a model for casting.The casting major focuses on the process of metal smelting and the control of process during casting.Forging is the plastic forming of solid state, with hot processing, cold processing, such as extrusion, drawing, block, punch and so on.   

(2) Forging is gradually forming, casting is a molding casting: molten liquid metal is filled with cavity cooling.It is easy to produce stomata in the middle.Forging: it is mainly used in the high temperature to use the extrusion method to form.It can refine the grain in the making parts.

 

2. Free forging and die forging free forging is the difference between a good metal billet heating on forging equipment, strop, between iron impact or pressure, make the billet produces plastic deformation directly, so as to get a method of processing of the forgings. Due to the free forging forgings shape is simple, flexible operation, suitable for single piece and small batch and the production of heavy forgings. 3. The difference between casting, forging, stamping and casting

(1) casting is melting the raw materials for its nature in the forming die forging molding is the raw material is heated to a certain temperature and then use the tool to the forging forming stamping is raw material with suitable stamping die stamping forming die casting is in casting using pressure will melt after the raw materials on the basis of injection mould with a higher density or more precision: the shape of the casting molten liquid metal filling cavity cooling.It is easy to produce stomata in the middle.   

(2) forging: it is mainly formed by extruding in high temperature.It can refine the grain in the making parts.

The thickness of parts is basically suitable for stamping with sheet forming.The thickness of the parts is very wide, the shape is complex, not heated, with die casting.1. Casting is divided into two types: high pressure casting and low pressure casting.Simply put, when the metal melts, the pressure of the model is different, and the temperature of the heated metal is different from that used for casting.2. Forging is also a casting way, the difference is that the temperature is lower when forging, and some can make metal into finished products in semi-melting condition.3. Stamping is the process of making the semi-finished products into finished products by using punch machines and other machines at normal temperature.4 is also a way of high temperature casting, die-casting, when faced with complex structure, difficult to compare the large castings, can use die casting machine, heat the metal into liquid pressure into the mold, cooling after open a way of casting mould to take out the products.
